About

The National Association of Women in Health Care (NAWHC) is dedicated to creating awareness of the importance of self-care in the lives of women who work in health care. NAWHC enthusiastically supports you in building a life that is in balance, recognizing that doing so will help you to become a better caregiver, wife, mother, or friend.

NAWHC’s mission is to:

1.  Give members permission to take care of themselves

2.  Provide  tools and resources to implement simple self-care strategies in your daily routine

3.  Create a strong support network for women who are overwhelmed with the stress of balancing career and family responsibilities

NAWHC connects and educates members through tele-events, insightful articles, resource groups, and much more. Our monthly “Thriving in Health Care” e-newsletter goes out to women in all areas of practice in health care.

She was inspired to create NAWHC when she began to recognize the importance of self-care in her own life and in the lives of her coaching clients. “Women who work in health care often put ourselves last on our to – do list. It’s time to turn that around and make ourselves a priority. I’ve been able to generate so much momentum in my personal and professional life since I’ve begun to focus on taking care of myself. I want to help others do the same and the NAWHC offers resources to help make that happen.”

Anna is a gourmet chef in the making, world traveler, aspiring photographer, and loves experiencing all the wonders of the North Carolina mountains. She lives in Asheville, NC with her husband, Dan and best-dog-ever, Max.
